I'm a professional fly fishing guide, a published author, and I enjoy traveling to give presentations to fellow fly fishers on the finer points of landing the big one!

I'm a fishaholic, it's all I know. In 1972 my father put a fly rod in my hand and showed me the art of fly fishing for trout and other species. Thanks to his teachings I became an expert trout stalker at an early age, always looking for the next presentation that lay before me. I've been tying flies since then as well, and my patterns are some of the most sought after creations known to fly anglers. Raised in Paradise, CA we had great trout water all around us, and with little fishing pressure and healthy trout populations, it was an experience I'll never forget. Now, a day without sharing fly fishing with someone young or old seems incomplete. I feel I was put on this earth to share this simple game, and my passion for the sport only grows as the years pass by. Numbers of fish caught by myself do not get me so excited now, but to watch others catch them, the majestic views of land, water and aquatic insects, is my nirvana now. Here's to the tradition of the fly, the rod and the trout.
